The Trouble with Mitt
The trouble with Mitt is that he doesn't seem to have a soul. When asked a question, it's like someone put a quarter in a juke box machine and he plays the tune you want to hear. The words come out in a torrent as if he knows the answer you're seeking. The man seems hollow at his core and doesn't have any solid beliefs other than he should be president.

Romney is an intellectual. He appears to experience difficulty having any kind of "personal connection" with a voter while the cameras are rolling. If you think about it, so does Obama. His "greatness" now shows as polling oriented empty platitudes, simply hollow, if not outright lies.
You must dig deeper to find the real Romney, and maybe forgive him for not having that unique way of connecting to people like Reagan had. Reagan was a trained actor, and he used those skills well as they were part and parcel of the persona who he was, somebody able to reach out and touch people with words. Romney lacks that skill, but I am not convinced that he lacks the foundation. I can give Romney a 'by' for now, because the more I learn about Romney, the more I can appreciate him as a person...not as a speaker. At this point, reviewing all the Republican candidates, I will choose between Romnet and Santorum. Both have the same, family oriented background, both have excellent credentials, and I now think either would be a president. I will next read Romney's book, "No Apology", which I didn't know about until this weekind, and make up my mind between the two by the Florida primary.
Romney's 'positive' to me is the exhorbitant amount of vicious attacks brought down on Romney by the Marxist, left-wing-nut press. I see that as sheer terror on their part that Romney will be our choice.
